Does the iPhone 13 Come With a Charger?
If you are looking for a charging solution for your iPhone 13, you may be wondering: Does the iPhone 13 come with a charger? There are several Qi -certified wireless chargers on the market, including the 20W ArcStation Pro and Syncwire’s 20W Pro+. Here are some reasons why the chargers listed above won’t work with your iPhone. But, if you really need a wireless charging solution, check out our article on what you should look for in a charger.
But what if you don’t have or want a USB-C power adapter? I’m glad you asked. You can very easily charge your iPhone 12 or 13 with a regular iPhone Lightning cable and any micro USB power adapter like the one below from Amazon.
Apple’s iPhone 13 comes with a charger
Although the iPhone 13 comes with a Lightning to USB-C charging cable, Apple isn’t including a charging brick. This means that you need to find an adapter for the new model if you’re planning on charging the phone on the go. If you’ve already purchased an iPhone and don’t have a USB-C wall plug, you can use your existing charger. However, this will not be the fastest charger for the new iPhone.
Qi-certified magnetic wireless chargers
There are a few different types of Qi-certified magnetic wireless chargers for iPhone
- MagSafe is a more robust version, with a magnetometer and single-coil NFC that identify the accessory. While most of these chargers are compatible with a variety of devices, MagSafe is designed for use with a specific iPhone model, the iPhone 13 and the mini. This type of charger requires that your phone be protected from magnetic attachments and should be kept in a MagSafe case.
Syncwire’s 20W ArcStation Pro
Syncwire’s 20W Arcstation Pro iPhone 13 charger features foldable prongs and a GaN chip to offer 3x faster charging than Apple’s 5W standard charger. It can charge most Type-C devices. It costs just $26 on Amazon. It is also compatible with the iPhone X/8/8 Plus, iPhone XR, and iPhone XS Max.
Spigen’s 20W ArcStation Pro
A good alternative to Apple’s original iPhone 13 charger is the Spigen 20W ArcStation Pro. This charger is compatible with iPhone 13, iPod touch, and iPad Pro and uses Gallium Nitrate instead of Silicon. It is compact and lightweight, and features a foldable plug. Another charger that supports 20W power delivery is the Belkin iPhone 13 GaN charger. Both chargers include a lightning cable.
Anker’s Nano II 30W GaN charger
A great power bank for fast charging is the Anker Nano II. This compact device supports both USB-C and Lightning charging and will charge your iPhone up to three times faster than the original five-watt charger. The device has the latest power standards, and comes with fold-up prongs on US models. It also supports Samsung Super Fast Charging and is compatible with Apple’s Lightning connector.
Anker’s HaloLock kickstand MagSafe wireless charger
Anker’s HaloLock kickstart MagSafe wireless charger is MagSafe compatible and offers fast charging. The unit’s slide -out kickstand lets you view your iPhone 13 in any position, and you can also charge it at any angle. It’s incredibly small, but it doesn’t sacrifice any of the features found in other MagSafe wireless chargers. You can also buy a case that is compatible with the HaloLock.
Apple has also made it very clear to us that the iPhone 12 and 13 will come with a USB-C-to-Lightning cable. That’s great, right? But what if you don’t have a USB-C power adapter? Well, sorry to break it to you, but you’ll need one of those as well. Or at least that’s what Apple would like for you to think. If you haven’t already purchased one yet, then the USB-C cable and power adapter you purchase at the same time are actually going to run together for about $30. To me, personally, that seems just a little bit steep for two accessories that most people were already planning on purchasing anyway. So I’m going to go out on a limb and say this:
